Taking care of an elderly parent, a woman from Heartland Vineyard Church called customer support at a pharmacy to ask about medication pricing that insurance would not cover for her mom.

The customer service representative was delightful, but the closest price she could find seemed expensive. She tried getting a hold of several people to find out more but unbelievably could not get through to anyone.

The woman said, "I know the one who can cause us to get the answer that we need.” She prayed, "Jesus I ask that You would connect us to the right person, that has the right information, to get us the answer we need."

The representative responded, " Thank you! I really needed that today!”

The woman said, "Sure. I need that everyday!”

The pharmacy employee said, "Me too!"

The woman thought maybe God was not letting calls go through because he wanted to do something for the customer service representative.  She asked the woman on the phone if she could pray for her.

The customer service representative shared that she takes care of her mother who has dementia and was having a hard time finding help.  The woman could strongly relate because of difficulties in finding assistance with her own mom.  The customer service representative also shared other difficulties another family member had.

As the woman began to pray for the pharmacy employee over the phone, the person began to cry.  After, she said, “Thank you so much! I really appreciated that!” The woman shared a Bible verse and prayed a blessing over her which encouraged the customer service representative.

The employee said, “I just keep crying, and now I need to make the call.  I’m trying to stop crying first.”  The woman told her to take a minute and soak in God’s love.

The pharmacy representative made a call while the woman was put on hold.  Very soon the employee came back on the line chuckling, "Do you want to know how God answers prayer?” She relayed her supervisor said there is no cost for the drug and no copayment. The woman got off the phone with tears of joy over God’s goodness and kindness to both of them.
